Video: Avenue Capital’s Marc Lasry interviewed from the Skybridge Alternatives Conference; While everyone else seems to be derisking, he’s hoping to score new investments at lower prices

Winthorpe III |While most of the hedge fund managers interviewed from the Skybridge Alternatives Conference seem to be reducing risk from their portfolios by hedging and shedding assets, Avenue Capital’s Marc Lasry is looking to take advantage of the turmoil and maybe pick up some distressed assets at lower prices.
One thing that worries him: the markets have gone from being more focused on fundamentals to now having more of a focus on politics. Another is the possibility that the troubles in Europe could hurt the recovery in the U.S.
