  • That Macquarie Banker was ogling photos of model Miranda Kerr during the now infamous live broadcast

    February 3rd, 2010 | 1:26 AM | by L. Winthorpe III |

That Macquarie banker who was caught looking at what appeared to be porn in the background as one of his fellow workers gave an on air interview was actually looking at sexy photos of  Aussie model Miranda Kerr (actor Orlando Bloom’s gf) from a GQ magazine photo shoot.  Nonetheless, sounds like the presumably red faced guy’s in some hot water over the incident:

While a Macquarie Private Wealth worker spoke live to Australia’s 7 News yesterday after the central bank held interest rates steady, a colleague in the background opened several semi-nude photographs on his computer, clearly visible on a recording of the broadcast posted on newspaper Web sites.
The Australian newspaper said the images were of local supermodel Miranda Kerr from a recent GQ magazine photo-shoot. The footage has won a five-star rating on Google Inc.’s YouTube, the highest for a posting on the site, and has drawn more than 164,000 hits.
“Macquarie has strict policies in place surrounding the use of technology and the issue arising from yesterday’s live cross on 7 News is being dealt with internally,” said Laura Bramwell, a spokeswoman for Australia’s largest investment bank. Macquarie declined to name the individual.
